That's exactly why it's interesting though. As a sincere narrative it doesn't have all that much going for it and so taken on it's own merits, it's no more interesting than any other hentai. It's interesting becasue of it's notoriety and the very fact that it even exists. It's bigger picture is interesting.

And let me tell you, the rabbit hole goes much, much deeper than this. If you think this is bad, never go downstairs if you find yourself in Akiba, you'll probably have a seizure. Only in Japan could such depravity be legal.

I really don't think theres anything I would find messed up anymore, it's all par for the course at this point when we consider that even it's tamer aspects of the medium have given us things like incestuous cannibalism. Anime and manga pretty much has a free pass to prod at anything it chooses which, incidentally, is why I love it.
