Gundam 00 (S1)
Break Blade (OVA)

Why didn't you listen tier:

As for recent Gundam entries, here's a quick run-down:
Age: Great designs, fight choreography, and animation, everything else is shit except for Flit
GBFT: Takes the enjoyable parts of BF and ruins them
G-Reco: Your mileage may vary
The Origin: Should have been called "Char's Zaku II: The Origin" and left to the imagination
IBO: Avoid at all costs

Ah right I forgot about Build Fighters. I've seen the first season and it was pretty good, haven't seen Try. But eh sure it's "mecha" but not exactly since they're just playing with toys. 00 and Break Blade I'm not a huge fan of. I could've mentioned Gargantia though.

Valvrave is horrible, I concur. Aldnoah Zero I have mixed feelings about it. It's quite good if you can suspend your disbelief and zone out watching it. Despite huge flaws, it was still thrilling.

ty revive, ancient and swordy for info on mechas, was just curious on why people like the genre, just like some people ask why i enjoy romance and slice of life

i do love scifi, stuff like startrek, stargate, starwars, darkmatter and killjoys to name a short few

i have watched zoids(i was a youngling at the time), hundred when it came out and it wasnt terrible, aldnoa 0 was ok but when they added hte mecha it got a little lame(imo), ive read the gundam series but when i watched them it seemed kinda lame in comparison, like one piece anime-manga tier difference

i have read some of the gundam mangas and novels, the anime for those series translated abysmally

A lot of people tend to crap on dubs. As long as the translation is reasonable and the voice acting is good, I'm happy. I was impressed with Kotomi's voice actress in Clannad, and didn't realise how good Nagisa's was until I saw some clips of Yukari in Azumanga Daioh. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

not talking about translation of language, maybe converstion from manga/novel to an anime would be a better description? i watch raw/sub
