Well, generally, dull anime don't make it to the second best selling of all time (since they started keeping score) and have their movies aired in cinema's all over the world. Just be sure to reserve judgement until after episode 3.

Or rather, what is needed is not a media player, but a codec pack. CCCP or K-lite codec packs are designed with anime in mind, and CCCP comes bundled with MPC anyway (though I still prefer VLC, better interface and slightly higher video playback quality). Far faster than converting files, not to mention that MKV is a much higher quality file type (hence why it's so common for anime).

Oh, well I use my Vita to watch anime at night, so I convert it into a specific .mp4 with the exact dimensions (or for animes that are already mp4 I just copy over the mp4).

I prefer watching anime at night, actually I prefer doing most things at night.

I hated that episode. Not because I'm emotionally invested in the characters or anything, but because their actions, particularly Slaine's, were completely illogical. I knew it was going to end on a cheap cliffhanger, but that was worse than I anticipated.
