As for what I'm watching this season, so far i've been slow to get into it, trying to keep plenty on the side so that I have something to do on my plane ride to Turkey next week. So far only touched:

-Black Bullet
-Hitsugi no Chaika
-Akuma no Riddle
-Selector Infected WIXOSS
-Mekaku City Actors

Thus far, nothing amazing. Black Bullet has been discussed above in detail, Chaika is iffy for me becasue aside from the magic sniper rifle is pretty generic fantasy type plot (and I only really like urban fantasy), Akuma no Riddle has internal logic problems, WIXOSS is a toy commercial that I only watched becasue it was the first thing out, and Mekaku is Shinbo, so it's probably got the most potential to be 'good'.

Ah, I see what you're getting at. Yeah, I have to agree, none of that really makes sense.

As for what I'm watching/trying to keep up with:
-Gokukoku no Brynhildr
-Mekakucity Actors
-Captain Earth
-Akuma no Riddle
-No Game No Life
-Black Bullet

I'll probably end up dropping a few of these/putting them on hold because A) I'm busy as hell and B) they just don't interest me. Overall, I'd have to say NGNL has the best start thus far. That said, it's still nothing great, but it reminds me a lot of Outbreak Company. Akuma seems interesting, but I don't think it's going to be that good, same for Captain Earth (I've only seen one episode of those, so my opinion may be, for lack of a better term, "outdated". )

The Jojos Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders anime is starting strong, not a surprise as the first two parts were also animated fantastically.

Stand Proud is a fantastic OP and really characterizes the Shonen genre at the time SC was initially punlished. Still prefer Bloody Stream from BT but SP is growing on me and fast.

Everything is spot on and remains true to the original, maintains the style of Jojo and preserves the mangas poses and signature SFX in a seamless fashion. The voice acting is great as always and are, IMO, some of the best vocal renditions of the JJBA characters ever, which isn't a surprise considering All Star Battles quality VAs.

Watch and read Jojo no matter what. The characters are fantastic, the style is unmatched, and its an absolutely iconic and essential contribution to the manga, and now anime, medium.

Just don't skip parts.

I haven't read any manga or played any game of the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series, but I have watched the first two seasons of the anime. My impression so far: it's enjoyably over-the-top in action, overly-dramatic scenes and narrations, good comedy, and the art and animation had a comic-esque look.

Between the second and the third arc, at least in the anime, it struck me weird that the Ripple power seemed to have been replaced by the Stand. After doing a tiny bit of research, the Stand is called in Japanese Anglicization "yuuhamon" or "ghostly ripple", plus Joseph Joestar seemed to have used the Ripple instead of his Stand to deal with that thingy in the 3rd episode of Stardust Crusaders.

I dont know if I can deal with nisekoi and mekakucity actors to many shaft head tilts!

Im liking gokukoku no brynhildr so far reminds me of elfen lied with a slightly less annoying mc (which having looked it up there both made by arms to thats probably why)

Gokukoku no Brynhildr is okay thus far, it is a lot like Elfen Lied in some aspects, though that isn't necessarily a point in it's favor for me. Still though, I'm curious to see where it goes in the upcoming episodes.

*sigh* I wish Black Bullet was good, I really do, but they're rushing everything now and the MC is about as volatile as a defective nuclear bomb. It has no sense of suspense or pacing whatsoever, almost as if every character is just desperate to voice their ideal and their problems that they almost start to talk over each other. Ugh, why do shows with good ideas always end up disappointing me?

Edit: Okay, so I decided to read the few chapter of the Black Bullet light novel and (not to my surprise) the written version is much better than the animation. Granted it still isn't great, but there's at least pacing in the novel. Another thing I noticed is the novel's chapters end at much better points than the anime episodes. The anime just ends at the worst points and that alone just butchers the pacing of the story.

*sigh* This really reminds me of Hidan no Aria. While it didn't have such an issue with pacing, the animation was still worse than the light novel.

Does anyone recommend anything for this season?

I mean... anything besides Date a Live, I haven't watched the last season yet and I'm too lazy to read my pre-downloaded Light Novel version.
Status: "Retired" From RuneScape. May come back to get 99 Slayer in 1 or 2 years.
