I went to a garden centre yesterday and bought a large bag of birdseed. On the way to the till I had to walk through the Christmas decoration display. Most were reduced and I couldn't resist buying a couple of baubles.
I bought some of those silver panels that you put behind radiators which are supposed to help reflect heat back into the room. And a box of Mojito flavoured After Eight mints, which are rather scrummy.

Mine is called Tin Foil.
Or them emergency heat blankets. Both work well. Just glue to thick card and place behind. Worked for me for years. The thing is I've not noticed any difference at all.
Todays shopping trip.
Well for weeks I've been buying ready made sandwichs and totally enjoyed them. But the price for 2 is £5. So today I got all the fixings to make 2 baguettes fully loaded sandwices with onion and spice chutney, chicken tika and spinich for less then £4. So see how these go down today.
Been looking for a new parrot cage for 1 of my parrots as his old cage is 10+ years old and a retaining bolt has snapped. Meaning I can no longer take it outside as it might fall to bits.... Right now I'm using heavy duty cable ties holding it together. Just incase.
So been doing a lot of research on Amazon and found 1 that will fit in the place the old 1 is in now. Also paid with vouchers I've been collecting over the year. So nice and cheap. Under £50 with Amazon vouchers.
Should be here tomorrow and built within a few hours of it arriving.
My husband has ordered new phones.
We've had a lot of phishing phone calls to our landline over the last few days. At least 4 during the morning yesterday and 5 so far today. Maybe they're trying to make up for being quiet over the holidays?
The calls are starting earlier and earlier in the mornings, around 7.15 am today, which woke us up.
We don't pick up if we don't recognise the number but let the answerphone get the call. If it turns out to be someone we need to talk to we then pick up the receiver however the unwanted calls still disturb us.
We have got so fed up with these calls which is why we've bought new phones with a call intercept/blocking feature. Numbers that we add to the memory should come straight through and unknown ones will have to press a key and then say who they are before being put through. That should stop all those automated nuisance calls.
Registering for that helps a lot as long as you live in the UK.
Good luck stopping them. I don't get many. I scream down the phone 2 words. 1 starts with F and the other starts with O. Really does help. Also gets rid of the stress. Honest.

Just bought a few dog toys for my dog, Sisters dog and Brothers dogs. Comes in a big bag to share between them all. Nice and handy. Cheap too.
