Censorship in video games was rife in the 80s and 90s, then it settled down a bit, and now it's in full blown overdrive. We have people wanting things censored when they themselves have admitted to never even going to purchase or engage with them in the first place.
The fake outrage culture we have now is ruining and has ruined my only real hobby.

Sounds like the game developers are deathly afraid of stirring the pot. Which is ironic, because the people who are likely to get worked up about it are not their customer base.
I knew there was a reason Square Enix wasn't showing TIfa off in previous Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailers. As she was censored. Though could have been a lot worse, at least she retains most of her classic outfit.
