I'm under lockdown like a lot of people around the world.
I'm going to cook a stew in a big pot with gravy beef, potatoes, onions, carrots, kumara (sweet potato), beef stock, and I'll add a tin of chopped tomatoes later on. Then I'll thicken it with cornflour and water.
What are you cooking?
And if you are a vegetarian please let us know what your secret recipes are. I've been watching a Jamie Oliver series called "Jamie's Ultimate Veg" and it has some delicious recipies on it.
Cheers

Tomorrow, I am fixing a venison loin roast, mashed purple potatoes, roasted cabbage, roast carrots, and for desert, a nice lemon spice cake.

I've been wanting to make a baked chicken pasta dish for a week or so now... maybe I'll get around to it tomorrow. It's really simple, just needs some penne pasta, boneless and skinless chicken breast, and it cooks in a cheese sauce made of pretty much whatever cheeses you like and a touch of heavy cream. There's so much room when making the dish to fancy it up and if you par-cook the noodles and pre-cook the chicken before baking, you can save some time in the oven so that you only need to finish off the remainder of the noodles and melt the cheese.
I'm also a huge fan of split-pea soup - which is also a crazy easy dish. Split peas, some chicken broth/stock, and if you want more flavor throw in a ham bone. Season how you like and let it cook low and slow all day long.

Food scientists have finally managed to remove the mint flavor from gum! The ex-spearmint was a success!

@Spearmint30 I love that idea of a baked chicken pasta dish, I'm going to try it.
When you do, let me know how you prepared yours - what you added, etc... I'm always looking for new ideas to put twists on dishes I already make.

I just made vegan Chinese scallion pancakes. Pretty good, IMO. Reminds me of last time I was in China.
I'm not going to lie, that does sound like something I'll have to try.

Going to use the left overs from supper to make a nice stew with. Going to raid my husband's morel logs in the basement as well for some fresh fried morel mushrooms.
