Been practicing today and getting the hang on the F stops. Just hope this 1 is good.

Guess what it is lol.

I can't make my mind up if it's out of focus as my poor eyes are not that good. I used manual forcus and winged it.

That is a very nice study - I like the way the eye is drawn along opposing angles to scan the whole study.

Regarding focus problems - take a look at some 'viewfinder focus magnifiers' I had one many years ago and they do help.

Here is an inexpensive one but there are many others with more features....

I've saved that link for next time I order a few thigns from Amazon.

Anything to help has to be good lol.

I do like the strawberry picture. It was also flashless just natural light from the right to highlight the leaves and bit of the fruit. It just looked nice to take.

That 1 was the best out of 20 or so pictures. Some you don't want to see lol.

Todays snaps.

I like this 1 as it has hidden the shell and he's stretching out.

Bob was tired after all the posing.

I took over 100 pictures and 5-6 turned out ok. The above 3 are the best of the rest.

I still can't get the focus right. I have to find my glasses. These are a must.

Also called the subject Bob the Snail. He is back home now with his family eating my plants. I did put a yellow dot on his shell so I might find him again He was about 5-7mm big.

Bee having a rest on my wall. I'm quite happy with this picture. It's first that I can say is crisp.

Few more of my new friend. You can see the hairs on it's legs. It stayed for a while and took about 200 pictures. Was a nice friend to stay that long I had time to get some good clear snaps.

Also got a wave from a policeman driving past cos I was pointing my camera at the wall lol. He couldn't see the bee. Felt odd but funny.

The bee I took hand held and it was a tad windy. I did set the exposure spot in the middle of the bee as the camera has a load of settings for that. I think I managed that setup but not done well. It's still not a bad effort for me seeing as I had to be quick before it took off.

The snail was on a tripod with remote. It was also done inside. ;)

Oh I have plenty of photos to share.

View from the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

At the top of the Malvern Hills.

Another place in Worcestershire.

Looked up and took this panaorama.

Added a filter to this one.
