Ey, thanks @Tuffty. I actually live on the so called "land of the northern lights", but been very unlucky and lazy with photographing those before. And it's hard to find a good spot, city lights will mess up even bright auroras easily. Got that picture couple months ago when I did an internship as tourist guide/photographer in a company that specialized on northern lights tours. Got also good tips with adjusting settings for those conditions there.
And yeah, looks yummy, made me quite hungry now.
Also, a question for you guys. What was your 1st camera and how long ago did you get it?

I bought my Pentax around 1986. It cost a fortune. I also bought a load of lenses and dedicated flash as well as filters and loads of other things. I bought it all to take pictures of a friends wedding. Loved using it and taking pictures. I used to get free films and get them developed for nothing. I had a friend who worked in a camera shop who developed all my pictures for nothing.
Since going digital. I bought a Pentax K-r because it can use all my lenses and filters etc. I didn't want to buy another camera and start over with lenses and bits. It's an awesome camera and a little tricky to use but fun trying.
Picture of a Pentax K-r.
lol Just broke my trusted tripod. Had it over 35 years so it's lasted well. The leg locking clips have snapped. 5/6 have snapped so it no longer stays extended. Not to worry I tapped the legs. Looks like I need a new 1. Amazon here I come.

I don't really have experience on Pentax but I'm fascinated about older brands and especially those older lenses they have. So it's intriguing to know you can still use them with newer body. Do you need some kind of adapter to do it?
My parents bought me my first camera on 2012, was Canon EOS 600D. Served me well and faithfully until the end of 2017 when I bought 7D to replace it. So I'm still kinda new with this lol. I've always felt Canon is my brand, but things could be different if I had more money (this is a dangerous hobby). I've also bought lenses along the years, right now I have 10mm 2.8 fish eye from Sigma which is probably my favorite and rest are from Canon's catalog. 85mm f1.8 and 70-200m 4f are the way to go.
Oof, equipment breaking down feels always awful. Even spotting a small scratch on somewhere makes my heart miss a beat.

And forgot to add that Pentax gear seems really durable and well lasting, woah!

I was lucky with my lenes as I did a few weeks of research and asking people about them. They all said they would fit on the Pentax K-r so with no adaptors so thats what I bought. Buying it was the hard part as very few were being sold second hand. I bought mine from a shop selling second hand cameras. No way could I afford a new 1. I paid £300 for it and at the time I felt it was a bargain. Came with a few bits and bobs too.
I just didn't want to waste my old equipment. Especially all the years of collecting the bits and bobs at a huge cost. So I'm happy now with everything I have and use. It all works well.

That's nice. Yeah I agree with not wasting equipment. Not many can afford buying full/wide variety of gear at once and you're also familiar with every piece already and know if you're gonna like them and what they're good for.

I'm still trying to get used to the macro lens. It's a lot harder then I had hoped. I just can't get that depth I'm looking for Yet.
