Thanks Rooh and nice shots everyone. I have been thinking about buying macro lens next. Anyone got decent but affordable suggestions for Canon?

Never seen a grass hopper in my garden for years. To have 1 sit on my hand while I take it's picture 1 handed was a challenge. He or She was so happy to sit for a while till I got the right picture.

I' very happy with that 1. I had no idea it would turn out so well. Holding the camera 1 handed shaking trying to get it just right took some doing.

It's 1 of my best shots yet.

Its a great photo Tuffty. I would have screamed and jumped around if it had landed on me. I can't stand insects on me, not even a butterfly. *shudders*

I just had to take that picture as I've never seen such an orange sky for a very long time.
