Expensive cuts of meat are really no better than cheap cuts of meat, it all depends how they are cooked - and of course the fickle perceptions of the buyer.

And how hungry you really are. I knew of a homeless person years ago who lost his job, lost his house, sold his car because he couldn't afford gas, and ate out of dumpsters behind restaurants and grocery stores. Fortunately, he wasn't married nor ever been married so he didn't have that monkey on his back.

There's a happy ending to this story. A good Samaritan offered him a job at the grass roots of his company. Last I heard, he was out of the basement and climbing up the ladder of success.
