I sometimes used to get my groceries delivered if I was unable to get to the supermarket, but all the main supermarkets delivery slots are booked solid for weeks in advance.
I just tried to arrange a delivery but gave up after scrolling forward all the way to April to find an empty slot
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

We couldn't get a home delivery slot either so we've been doing click and collect for our shopping since January. I used to do it myself but when the more infectious variant emerged I didn't feel comfortable spending about an hour in a supermarket with a lot of strangers, some not wearing masks. Obviously if you can't get to the supermarket click and collect isn't going to be any use.
My current annoyance is not being able to go shopping for shoes. I have worn out one pair of shoes I used for walking and another pair are starting to develop a split over the toes. I can't buy via mail order/internet because I
must
try them on due to having wide feet and a bunion coming on one foot. Pre Covid I would often try on several pairs in a shop and come away without buying anything because they all hurt me. I've never worn shoes that pinch so I'm very disappointed that I now have a bunion forming.
+1 for home delivery actually, however it inadvertently created a lot of jobs near me, and particularly in my area after the first few weeks they had enough to cover the rise
There may be home delivery slots available now but I buy some groceries for someone I know is struggling financially. I have to take them to her so I might as well carry on using click and collect. She's hoping things won't be so tough once she gets her state pension later this year.
