Endeavour,
I have not responed in any greater detail to your comments because I don't believe they warrant further comment.
Your original argument is far from unique and has been posted here in one form or another numerous times. Consequently, I simply don't feel like spending my time right now debating you and I'm under no obligation to do so.
I thought this would have been obvious but instead you feel the need to engage me with childish name calling.
I'm sorry but I won't partake in this with you.
This thread has been running for quite some time now and enjoys about a 50% approval rate. If you took any time to read through the thread you might understand why the point you were trying has very little value to me.

Thank you for writting it, your point is clear, but I simply don't agree.
Now if you don't have anything else worthwhile to add, please leave.

It has been mentioned numeral times and you simply disregard it every time with the flawed argument 'butchers don't cook'. I have given you several example to show you that your argument is flawed, and you disregard that as well and you 'don't agree with me'.
The fact that you only get a 50% approval rate means that half of the RS players would just laugh at the skill and either not train it at all, or train it for the sake of 99.
By adding butchery to cooking, and even renaming the skill to 'food preparation' if necessary to allow for the combination of the 2 without arguments like 'cooks don't butcher' this content could be released without either releasing content that's a little ridiculous to be a skill alone, or completely saying no to the suggested content. I don't object to butchery per se, but it should not be a stand-alone skill.
Signatures are overrated.

In Runescape Butchery COULD be a sub-skill of Cooking, but in real life it definitely is not.
The Butcher takes a carcass and turns it into something that a cook turns into food. Combining these would be similar to stating that a mill operator is the same as a cabinetmaker as they both work with wood, a paint manufacturer is the the same as a painter because they both work with paint.
Of course there are cabinetmakers that harvest and cut their own logs just as there are painters that create their own paints but these are few and far between.
Please look back 2 pages where Samanthawing posted the job description of a butcher. As I've stated numerous times, Butchers don't cook.
Obviously Runescape isn't real life. But it does seem to be based in a fantasy earth-like setting, which takes me to the point I have repeatedly tried to make here. Whether Butchery could be added as a skill of its own or placed as a subset of Cooking is purely opinion. There are plenty of good arguments to support either opinion.
I happen to believe it would be a good addition to the game as a skill not because I have some great love of butchers but instead because I would like to see more skills in the game, not less. I don't think it would be worth the time for Jagex to add Butchery to Cooking as it would require an almost total redo of the drop system of the game. Why spend the time on this as just an addition to what I believe to be the most diverse skill in the game. It just doesn't make sense.
It's been well over 2 years since our last skill release, and that was more like a big minigame (in my opinion) and I haven't heard a word from Jagex suggestion they are even working on another. Addition skill ideas I've seen include Ranching, Sailing, Musician, Diving, and Assassin to name a few.
It seems to me that Butchery could be added in a way that would support many other skills as I have discussed in great detail in past posts.

It's for these reasons that I no longer want to debate whether Butchery could be part of Cooking or not. Of course it could just as it could stand as its own skill.
That's all opinion.
But as just another addition to cooking I'm not sure I support the idea myself.
