This is too simple a skill to be adding to the game now, and It's too small to even be a skill. It relies on killing monsters or animals to train and get exp, basically making it like any attack skill and slayer. The only difference is that you get more money for your kills.
If JAGEX wanted larger creatures to be more rewarding they would update their drops. This is just stretching it a little.

i can see this being an add on to another skill, not a complete new skill..
could be added on to cooking (there are cooks who butcher their own meat, especially like you said 1,000s of years ago)
hunting - hunters very often butcher their own meat after they made a kill.
iCourtney -> Semi-Support (not as a new skill but a add on to one of them i said above.)
