So, I love everything about playing my ironman account, except for the fact that there is little hope at ever acquiring the hero items in the game because of their absurd rarity.
The proposal:
give ironman accounts access to a method of increasing odds at receiving a new version of the hero items (Hazelmere's ring, Tony's mattock, Tavia's rod, and Orlando's hat).
The balancing:
new version is bound to ironman and
should ironman convert to a regular account the item will be destroyed
.
The method:
a mini-quest which involves creating a new Ironluck Ring. It unlocks access to Iron hero items which have the same function as the regular version and drop in the same respective methods but at twice the odds:
Hazelmere's rignet ring (FE)
Tavia's fishing rod (FE)
Orlando Smith's hat (FE)
Guildmaster Tony's mattock (FE)
The new Ironluck ring will have no combat stats and offer no other function outside the aforementioned. The ring will be incredibly difficult to make, being aimed towards end-game players, requiring the following:
1x ring of luck
1x ring of wealth
1x ring of fortune
1x luck of the dwarves
100x enhanced luck potions
100x fortunate components
It will require 120 invention, 99 crafting, and 99 smithing. It will require special blueprints that can be obtained by trading 1x Vecna skull to an NPC or purchasing it for 100M coins.
I suspect there will be a number of people that will oppose this because ironman accounts are created with the idea of the game being more challenging and knowingly limiting the gameplay with several minigames/aspects being disabled, however, I don't think my proposal would unbalance anything and the items would still be absurdly rare, not to mention difficult to even make the Ironluck ring.
no support y should ironman accounts get extra luck when its the same drop rate for everyone else and most people cant even afford to buy it anyways so ironman accounts dont need an unfair advantage no matter how small
