Below is a proposal to rework Tolna’s Rift, the dungeon featured during the quest
A Soul’s Bane
. This would be
F2P combat content
with story elements, aimed at
lower intermediate
combatants.
The dungeon would be a repeatable combat encounter featuring four waves of enemies plus a boss fight. It would be a test of endurance for low-mid level players, similar in concept to the TzHaar Fight Cave.
1. Waves
-Each room would feature a unique mob of combatants
-All enemies in a room would have to be defeated before advancing
-Players would not be able to bank between rooms
-Rooms would proceed in the order presented during the quest; however, players would choose which room to start in
2. Boss Fight
-The boss would be a version of Loarnab like the one fought during
A Soul's Bane
-Loarnab would take the form of the player, appropriating the player's name and combat stats (as in the unrelated quest
Lunar Diplomacy
)
Possible features could include:
-Introductory boss mechanics in each room
-Progressive difficulty and/or scaled difficulty and rewards
-Unique environment effects influencing the respective fights
-Multiplayer capability
