This is the first time I did this, but it still doesn't seem like the best set up.
After you get your slayer task and hit the continue button, the very next place your mouse cursor ends up is on a cancel assignment selection. I double clicked by accident and wasted points and cancelled an assignment I wanted in the same instance. I think when you click to continue after the slayer task there should be a more neutral option the cursor points to, so you don't either waste points, or cancel an assignment you want, or do both at the same time.
I'm going to be more careful, but I thought this is something that could be tweaked so this isn't possible to do by mistake.

you dont need to click continue. you can just teleport out

in my 6k+ tasks i have never done this.

i prefer the cancel option being there. means when i do want to cancel its a little more streamlined.

either way i dont know how you are making this mistake. when you get a task you want you dont need to click anything in the chat

Even someone who wanted to cancel their task would be annoyed that it was that streamlined. It didn't even ask, are you sure you want to cancel the task, just right away your task has been cleared.

A confirmation box for that would be so incredibly annoying when you actually want to skip things . Especially when you start solely going for certain tasks. Accidentally skipping a task you might wanted to do is significantly less annoying than being forced to confirm this every. single. time.

It's a mistake you'll do once and never again. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

yes i know what tasks i cancel. it being there makes cancelling faster.

but again you dont need to click continue after getting a task you want, this fixes your problem entirely

yes i know what tasks i cancel. it being there makes cancelling faster.

You're right, I just got into the habit of doing it, and though I've done it many times this only happened once. But it is better if I stop doing it regardless of whether I may or may not do that again..
