Honestly was skeptical of this idea at first wondering what practical uses a music skill would havein runescape. The first page of your introduction posts really is well done so far and being a musician myself IRL I would love having a nice guitar in game. Possibly with some recolour options available to add to my rainbows :)

An option I offer your skill guide table is minor upgrades to instruments you already have access to. Such as guitar can have a body upgrade with different woods such as mahogany or elder down the road. Different tunings that can be learned for different passive effects, and perhaps a genre selection for different abilities?
Your opinions here can affect us all. Please post for the better

Yeah, I've been thinking about making this Music skill partially F2P. However, F2P cannot make instruments, they have to purchase on the G.E. And they can only train to a certain level.

I like this idea and support it.

However,
You mentioned that to use the music with prayer to summon assistance of the gods you need an instrument of that god. which instruments would go with which god or is it just the blessed ocarina which is bound to a certain god alter.

I just had a thought that these instruments will be dropped first time you kill a GWD 1 boss solo. And if you lose an instrument of a boss, you have to fight him again to get it.
