Wow, so I finally tried fish flingers. You need 20 metals to get the basic box. I got 2 out of 5 sessions. Lol No there wasn't a lot of people there. In fact it was just me and my alt for 4 of the 5. The 5th one had a 3rd player. I'm not asking things to be just handed to me, but 20 medals? I guess I wont be getting the box. Not spending days trying to get it.

As soon as you got the hang out of you consistently can get 2 medals every single game alone - cooperation with others allow you to get the other 2. And it's an activity you easily can join in while doing most other fishing related activities. Last, but not least - the current parcel event can give you an item which doubles your medal gain for some time and there is an enhancer from the motherlode maw which can double them for a set number of games (albeit I do not know if using both at once will triple or quadruple your medal gain or if they even would stack at all).

At the very worst you would have to sit out 250 rounds for the final box (no enhancers and just the 2 medals you can get alone, albeit you said you're using alts). And yeah I think the fishing xp you gain is okay-ish the very least. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

I don't understand why you aren't awarded at least 1 medal every time. I mean if I come in first that should count. What's the point of first otherwise? Bragging rights? Lol. I'm not a braggart thanks. I don't care about bragging or those that do. It's pretty lame in my opinion.
I'm not asking to have the best stuff handed to me. I just don't see myself going through all the trouble just to get the basic box. Sorry I got better things to waste my time on. Pretty lame.

Fish Flingers has one of the best XP rates in the game for Fishing, and I found it an interesting way to break up the grind.

Gaining medals isn't an arduous process, but I agree it may take some time compared to obtaining the Mining/Woodcutting alternatives. It was released so long ago that doing grind work to obtain useful items was the norm.

In my opinion, it's worth going for. Yes, a lot of the functionality is now obsolete, but the free porter functions are still very useful.

its very easy to do solo for all medals per game

donmt give up asap.
