I'd pay money to be able to play runescape classic again. I can't be the only one that misses it. I don't really care for OSRS and RS3 is becoming meh. I miss the old days lol
They don't know how the code works (there's nobody stilll around from that time), it was breaking very fast and filled with bots because the current bot detection system isn't compatible.
Trying to get it up and running would take a whole bunch of time and energy for so little. It's not worth it at all.

As nice as it sounds. It seems highly unlikely that they'll consider bringing back RSC. Reason being because their community safety and macro detection tools are no longer compatible with RSC, along with the increased number of bugs that have been detected, so the game was more than likely on the verge of completely breaking anyway, especially with all of the bots that started populating, I would assume.
Also, the majority of employees who were once there at that time with the specific coding knowledge of that server are no longer with the company, so I could imagine the cost to start it back up and get everything updated to the current standards would be a waste more than a gain... and chances are, not many people would play considering most now have only played RS3, and maybe now OSRS at best. This is about as classic as it will get.

I do miss RSC though.
This would make sense.
Maybe in RS3, they could have a holiday event with retro RS Classic graphics... or a NPC who visits from the RSC world.
Having an official RSC server would be great. Sadly Jagex aren't smart enough to bring it back. They and us are both insanely lucky they stumbled upon 2007scape and ended up bringing back RS2. Old school is crushing RS3 and they couldn't handle classic also rivaling it in any way...
