I don't know how everyone feels about this, but I LOVE archaeology. The skill is complete yet simple to understand. It creates so much lore, the concept is great, I simply love how this skill was developped, and the rewards are incredibly great.
However, I feel like this skill has potential for so much more! I would love the release of new dig sites, allowing access to different artefacts, collections, lore and relics! The rewards you gain from archaeology with the relic powers are what make this skill all-the-more interesting.
I understand this is going to be on the longer term, but I don't know if the release of new dig sites is planned for the future. I might be wrong, but I would think the focus might be put on Necromancy at the moment as this skill is about to be released, but I would definitely think expanding archaeology a little would also be really fun.
Maybe adding a digsite to the newly updated
Karamja
(graphically)? A digsite around a tribal temple?
What about another digsite
underwater?
This could even be an ancient sunken city.
Or a digsite in another world, using the World Gate?
There's so much potential and so many relic powers that could be developped. There could even be relic powers used to improve certain weapons, or maybe a high level artefact that could be attached to a weapon using Invention?
Those are just brief ideas, but overall, I think this skill is an incredible idea with amazing content, but that has much potential that is still yet to be reached.
