RuneScape and Old School RuneScape is big enough that some areas should be expansion packs for purchase.
Back when 2008 when the game was thriving it had a key to popularity and prone to more success because it was more simple. With the game being in the state that it is in with more added to it, it can still fluxate with what it has but if it where to be with what it has and put simple the game would thrive.

RS3 makes high enough revenue growths of 18% and then 20% with Premier Club, bonds, TH and Runecoins already. I don't think they need more buy to play expansion MTX. Perhaps OSRS may need more MTX like this.
Patches already function as a way to add content like expansion packs. Unnecessary costs like this in a game not designed for xpacs like other MMOs will shrink the population even more. I don't want nonsense like having to buy a xpac every 2 year like wow does. That's why I quit that game.

What's shrinking the game is the not enough organization with the game that's been developed and has a beautiful potential to be what it is with making the company money with what could be elevated in doing the right thing with pricing and content. RuneScape 3 has plenty of problems one with an unvalid MTX system that doesn't have a limit on what you can buy that's linked to pay-to-win which eliminates the fact of free-to-play and play-to-play which is different from pay-to-play. You have to be rich in real life to play which doesn't make sense to reach a high level. It's shrinking because EoC ruined it and a proven fact is that this game has a lot of dead content like the wilderness which looks like Old School RuneScape isn't having that problem because the wilderness worlds are populated which RuneScape 3 doesn't have.
I know the problems Old School RuneScape has like the RwT services and accounts services to account selling. JaGeX consistently ignores and it's sad to see that they have potential law suits against anybody that rule breaks in the game which leads off to real life problems because nobody can be trusted with the JaGeX companies infringed money because I get it the items belong to you but when you start to real world trade and break rules like scamming and selling services, JaGeX has that right that everything in the game from accounts to content to items belong to them as soon as you break rules like RwT because your making money off of a game that was created by JaGeX/Andrew Gower and your simply stealing his money by soliciting his video game by using what he created to make money off of anybody's personal gain.
Last Time and Final JaGeX has copyrights which belong to them including the video game once you start rule breaking. I would sue anybody that uses my game for personal gain especially in real life because they could use that money to commit real life crimes is a possibility. Eliminating work ethics.
