15. New Customization Perspective.
This post has the objective to point out some of the limitations in the cosmetic outfits designer and to suggest new concepts that haven't been explored. I know that in most cases this isn't used caused due to the technical limitations that we have today, but in the future these are the customizations that I would like to see in my character.
Face and Head
All visual cosmetics headwear slot of the game would be classified into 3 different categories:
Head: most of Hats and Hoods. Face: most of Masks and Glasses. Full Head: Helmets.
There will be icons identifying which type the item belongs. Items sorted as head and face could be combined.
Long Hair Hairstyles
Currently this is available for a few npcs, is a useful thing for female characters creation and the effect of the wind on the hair would be cool too.
Scabbard
Unfortunately the only sword that has this is Tetsu katana and wakizashi.
Be introduced as part of the outfit, own weapon or even as an independent item, really a big detail that is missing in outfits.
Cloaks (shoulder cape)
Wider capes that cover the arms. I'm talking about these slightly bulky hoods on the front that cover the shoulders and much of the outfit. This fits very well in a sneaky character and practically every cape on the Runescape doesn't have this detail.
Damaged Armor and Injured Walk
The clothing damage mechanics would be a new collection of outfits that changes appearance during combat. Based on the vitality suit concept, this outfit showing the current state of your armor. It had 2-3 stages of degradation, switching your cosmetic look according your life or equipment. Even a torn skillcape.
Could be combined with a walking animation where you walk normal with full life but stumbling when you have low life.
