Can jagex make official jagex created and approved addons for RS3 where you pay a small fee let's say in runecoins, and you'll permanently unlock a useful addon to help in the game? Can we do this for Alt1 for example? Make a Jagex version of Alt1 you can pay 500 runecoins for and you'll get such a useful tool as part of all of your character's interface. Look at how Runelite etc is part of the jagex launcher. Even if we only get Alt1 for the first year, it'd be a massive improvement for our RS3 experience. We need this as qol for RS3 since we don't have a equivalent.

Thoughts?

I'm against unofficial alt1 and that should be banned, but a official jagex created one I wouldn't oppose

A official alt1 where there's no issue about if it's allowed since it's by the developers themselves, one which not just has clue solving functions but has other game assistance makes profit for jagex by costing mtx currency and is the first official addon. It'd be like runelite for rs3. For any issue with it trivializing towers and lockboxes maybe give it a small cooldown that can be reduced the more of the game you've completed so if you're a new master solver and have 0 master logs you'll be limited to 2 tower and lockbox assistance from official alt1 per hour and when you get 5 master logs your alt1 can assist you with 4 towers and lockboxes per hour. Official alt1 will be able to give real time assistance with timed puzzles like how the website used to have a puzzle solver that was really helpful with elemental workshop. Official alt1 would be balanced so there wouldn't be concerns about it being op.

I'm against unofficial alt1 and that should be banned, but a official jagex created one I wouldn't oppose

jagex have said its allowed, its just use at own risk
everything is use at own risk, even all official runescape clients every single one is use at own risk.

so you have what you want

however what you are asking for here, is not alt1 at all. you are asking a runelite for rs3.

and alt1 and runelite are entirely different. runelite is a client on its own, alt1 is a overlay. they are very very very different.

a lot of the addons or plugins, are just qol updates. a lot of the ones in runelite are already in rs3.

what qol updates do you want? then thats what you ask for.


personally id want tile markers thats the one thing rs3 is missing that rl gives osrs.

I feel this would be the best solution to the alt1 issue, as those willing to use RS related third-party software are at an unfair advantage over those who are more paranoid about account security. Support
