It would be nice for bankholders to not take up a bank space if the amount is 0, this ensures your bank stays nicely arranged for future loot deposits without it taking up so many bank spaces

If possible: sure.
I vaguely remember them mentioning it isn't possible though when they launched 'Bank Rework Lite'. The item itself may not be there, but it still takes up memory on the servers, and imagine if everyone would have as many bank holders as actual items in their bank, basically doubling the memory needed on the servers.
