Can we finally get mail in rs3? A mailbox is added to all banks, including a mail option on the arc boat. Mail in mailboxes expire after a certain period of time and you have a limit of how much mail you can store in your mailbox.
All mail arrives instantly. Players can toggle who they are willing to accept mail from, similar to how chat can have its options on your interface be changed. Mail from Jmods cannot be blocked.
Whenever the player receives mail in their mailbox, they get a notification message in their chatbox saying they have new mail.
Types of mail:
Text letters. Only contains a text message which the recipient can read and delete at their leisure, text letters can't have animations but can be different colors. Text letters can never have a clickable link for player safety. Want to wish a player you know is returning a happy welcome back to the game? Send them a letter welcoming them back.
Item letters. Only contains a item which you are sending to the recipient. Players can set this type of letter to require the recipient to need to pay gp or a specified tradeable item to exchange and be able to get the item from the letter.
There isn't item lending through the mail. Basically you can do cash/item on delivery mail. COD item letters can always be cancelled by either the sender or the recipient. To prevent COD spam, players have to wait a short cooldown before sending another COD to the same player.
Item + text letters. Same as above except has text accompanying the item in the mail.
