Runescape taught me how to type. Back in the day where there was no Grand Exchange you had to be able to type fast in order to make money. I'd spam, "Selling lobbies 250 ea" over and over again and it made me a better typer. Me and one of my friends in school who also played Runescape were the fastest typers in our computer class.
Runescape also taught me about how to manage my money. I had to work to get items and then sell them. Then I'd spend it on things to PK with.
Runescape made me patient - well, at least over time. Back in Runescape Classic I knew that if I got 400 lobsters I'd have 100k. That was a LOT of money to me and I just couldn't dedicate myself to fishing those lobsters. I'd get maybe 2 trips between Karamja and Draynor bank (free to play back then) before I just gave up because it took forever. Now, I have excellent patience. Not just in Runescape, but in real life.
