I'd like to take a moment to appreciate two RuneScape players that had a very positive impact on my life:
MellyMay91
and
EvilMike86


I've played the game for a very long time (though not quite long enough to earn the 15 year cape when it comes out), and I spent the vast majority of the earlier years of the game playing with my friends in real life or with random strangers that I encountered in the game world. This play style suited me, although as time passed fewer and fewer of my close friends played RuneScape, and the players in the game world that I could find became less and less talkative, friendly and energetic. I reached a point in time where I would mostly play as a lone wolf, celebrating my achievements by myself.

It was about this time that I decided to check out the Clan forum pages. I had never been a part of a real clan before (other than trading circles back in the day), and I encountered a clan called Temple of Blood (that is still in existence today.) I joined at a pivotal moment in time when the clan faced tension and split apart into two groups. I followed along with MellyMay91 and EvilMike86 into the founding of a wonderful new clan, entitled
PandorasBox86
.

Playing with Mike and Melly was one of the greatest times in my life. Our clan grew to be over 100 strong, with regular events and great times. Mike and Melly are two of the most kind and supportive people I know. They were always supporting others in their goals, and were a joy to talk to. We became more than clan mates in a game, we became friends for life.

Eventually, in the wake of the EoC, our clan withered and died. Melly and Mike finally decided to hang up their skill capes as well, at least until a time when they felt like returning to Gielinor. I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate these two great players, as they were inspiring and important to myself and to many other members of our clan.

I don't know if they will ever see this, but shoutout to Miss Whipped on world 39 for helping me get antiquated with the eastern lands content. Taught me everything I needed to know, from A-Z. In just a few short minutes she turned me into a confident eastern explorer. Good on ya' whipped!
