My current RuneScape Playlist.

PS. I need a bigger playlist, 30 songs maximum is not enough. :P

PSS. Three Kings is amazing.

I'm surprised I've never commented on this thread.

Since 2011, Runescape has really stepped up its game, and I think it's safe to say it has the most diverse musical palette of any MMO out there.

Memories of Guthix and Fragments of Guthix are breathtaking, emotional tracks that can nearly bring you to tears. I think this was the biggest part of the World Wakes' gutpunch impact, and beautifully underscored the hopelessness and meaninglessness of the impending God Wars, in the aftermath of the first World Event.

Dirge of Drakan is one of my favourite pieces of quest music, and the perfect underscore for the montage of despair and failure that closes out the Lord of Vampyrium. Really devastating.

My favourite lighter tracks have to be Lords and Ladies and Carnillean Rising. It's difficult for me to pin down, but something about the minimalist simplicity of these tracks suggests Arvo Part or Phil Glass in a perfectly scene-setting tableau.

As for older tracks, the trio of Work Work Work, Magic Magic Magic, and Creature Cruelty are impressive for their minor variations on the same leitmotif, gradually changing a light, silly little tune into a pressing, claustrophobic piece that well-complements the action by the time we get to the homunculus. I have a weakness for any music that's able to marry clever melodic intervals with changing modalitites.

Another fantastic musical moment - the ending of One Piercing Note, with Valerio's Song juxtaposed against the Citharede Hymn as we chase Anna into our final showdown. Oh my goodness, that moment cemented the quest as my all-time favourite in Runescape.

As for the big overworld tracks/reworks that came out with the official release of RS3, Medieval II is particularly excellent.

I am a huge fan of soundtracks. Such as Matt Uelmen, Martin O'Donnell, and the god of them all...John Williams.

But, " Max Reidneer Variations" is absolutely exquisite.

I haven't played in a while, and I'm starting to catch up on some newer quests, I'm surprised to hear vocals in a game I've played forever; Especially when Wending Through the Willows started playing.

I also have a soft spot for adventuring, hearing an old tune, and having that nice feeling of nostalgia all over again.

Valerio's Song is another great one, as well as the song when you go up against the QBD. Well done Jagex~

I have to say, One Voice & Tale of Waiko from the Arc have been amazing.

Arise Legend will always stand out as this inspiring piece of music as well as HomeScape! :D

One Voice is a particular favorite of mine from the Arc music tracks. It's a song that gets stuck in my head all day.

The weird thing about vocal tracks (and a few instrumental tracks like the Misthalin Mood tracks, Kharidian Bustle, and Violinsanity) is that they sound like they SHOULD be 'diegetic' music like Valerio's Song, Traveller's Tale and Troubadour Dance. I've even thought this as far back as the original Parade, which I felt was played by a small group of musicians at the Jolly Boar tavern northeast of Varrock. (This was before the 'Honky Tonky' tracks came out).

So yes, I imagine One Voice performed by a band with seasinger vocalists that entertains at Waiko marketplace.
