I just wanted to take a bit of time to thank Jagex for Archaeology. When it was first announced, it had my interest but I was a bit disappointed that the focus was gonna be on a new skill instead of new quests and story content. However, as time went on, I got really hyped about what I heard. I was really interested in the idea that it'd be a skill focused on lore and storytelling.
Then, when it launched, after I figured out the gameplay mechanics, I quickly loved it. The gameplay's blend of different skilling styles (gathering, artisan, etc), the excitement of finding good loot, the focus on uncovering story and the possibility of the skill being used to launch future quests, it all just feels almost as though it was a skill made for me. It also manages to keep me hooked, which is something that hasn't happened to me with a skill since Dungeoneering.
Up until this point, Dungeoneering has been my favorite skill due to how you're never grinding one thing too long. However, Archaeology may just end up becoming my favorite soon. I really hope that you guys use this skill as a means of telling more stories in the long term. I'd also appreciate it if more skills (existing and future) got the M&S rework treatment, at least in the way that you reward those who pay attention but allow people to just AFK when they want.
Splendid job, Jagex! So far, it's a 5/5 skill for me!

Theres room for improvement, but overall it appears pretty nice so far. I do feel it took people away from pvm as they are focused on getting that 99/120 lvl or 200m...other then that it's a nice change.
