Without going into it too deep. yes your missing some key points.

imagine having 1 hand with some paper and 1 hand with a small stone.

then the hands pull in and back out and the stone is gone and the paper is filling something.

the question is. is the stone covered by the paper or is the paper filled with the stone.

if you understand the above then you should be good. if not i recommend gaining more info on the forums and the game etc about rares. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

does any1 know why new players are selling holly wreaths to older players who in return all say the trade never happened?.

is it because no1 is into buying them for more than 2b as they were prior to all rares going up?.

a friend of mine asked me like 2 months back about buying 1 and i told him 3 age wreath is looking better for less money. so after i told him that he did some checks if it was interesting and he said that he tried out the 3 age wreath and was happy with it.

ive a 3 age wreath too because i like the grass thingies on it, it makes it look cute tbh.

I'm told there are only 1K Hollies in game. So, it's just another rare with guaranteed limited supply.

I'd pay whatever for one, sure. I mean, rares just keep going up over time. They might rise more slowly, or even fall, but long term they all go up. Up, up, up, never ceasing up, to infinity. Until the game ends.

But they can fall before going up again. In the past, it has not been so one-directional. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

I think Holly is hoarded, as with every other rare and token. So, if the hoarder decides at some point to sell, they could fall a bit.

But there's real value due to the limited supply. Some people actually like their appearance too. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(
