I don't understand jagex's business model on repeating the same promotion for years (rainbow). You can buy most rewards for under a mill on the ge, why would anyone even spend keys on them. If there's a reasoning behind it can anyone explain?

believe it or not, some ppl still buy keys to get these tokens, to sell it at the ge to increase the quantity. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

My guess is most are using oddments and not buying keys with money/bonds.

But i still don't understand why they think it's a good idea to overuse TH promos and increase the quantity of tokens massively. I am sure it doesn't help them in a revenue sense or bring any satisfaction to players. It's fine to keep the promos recurring so hoarders stay in check but make the prizes hard/rare to win. While i am not a big fan of mtx, but this way they can keep a steady revenue stream from TH and players can have an incentive to win a rare/expensive token. What they are doing now is they run a promo which brings in decent amount of money at first (hype), then gradually declines as they bring it back several times. So many bad decisions have been made at the management level in the last 10 years, but i don't blame them when you have new owners every few years with different objectives lmao.

I have over 100,000 oddments and when Jagex have deals on keys I get 30 and if the event on is good use them up if not save them up till I see something I like.

I trade nearly everything on TH for oddments these days. I just like saving them up for the deals Jagex offer. Especially the 50% off keys. Just a shame I can only get 30 a day. :P

I've had some nice items from TH using oddments to get keys. ;)

I just stack oddments. It’s all for me cosmetics, jolly jolly cosmetics, all for me outfits and emotes.

One day some ridiculous looking new outfit or walk will cost an outrageous amount…, and I’ll get it.

Thats how I think too. Be 1 of the first to get a great item and show it off.

Upto 113,000 oddments up from 107,000. Climbing up again.

Yeah, that sounds shit. For a fellow motorcyclist, I expected more nuance

When the 2147m oddment phat is released in 2030, you'll realise your error. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(
