Prediction on oddment cost of walk tokens?

Zombie: 75k

Assassin: 75k

Plague: 50k

Conga: 5k

party fever: 4k

loved up: 10k

Hot sand: 7.5k

I think this sounds about right, having higher value tokens in store probably gives them opportunity to add more tokens later and the transition to 100k+ won't be as bad

Lmao jagex is not gonna giveaway walks through the oddments store that easily, it's jagex they always find a way to capitalize on things players want. I think people are missing a big piece of the puzzle, but until then place your bets or panic sell.

They probably will just put the animation in the store, not the token itself

The tokens will therefore retain some value on just rarity alone but all the demand will be artificial imo.

Personally I don't want to be invested in an item that has no value in terms of demand.

I agree that they will not release the token itself and it will just be the animation itself, IMO the most expensive walks will be about the same cost as the cat and yak track rewards in the oddment store already and jagex is probably going to release some easy way to buy oddments directly as a new source of profit. It surprised me how low they were willing to let the existing rare item shop stuff go on there for as people would definitely paid to get those.

Yea, I don't think they're putting much thought into this sort of thing. People spent years trying to get rare items from TH.

Aspects of this game are very well managed. Aspects are not. The mythology, for example, is amazing, especially for a video game.

TH promos where they didn't even consider that a person could buy keys with what's won from TH was super odd to me. It's like they don't understand players.

If they're going to nerf tokens, they should add new rares, in my view. This game was always about investing, even during restricted trade. You can't just look at another game and say, it runs differently. Other games are in other niches.

I guess it's like how people in the real world can be extremely good in one area, fully understanding complex topics but oblivious to another area.

The quests and stories are neat. And I hear the pvm is fun. But those are new additions to rs. That wasn't the core game. Things change though.

jagex will increase revenue selling all token via oddments, then can just let merchers/hoarders/manips merch them and legit players who unlock tokens dont keep getting owned by the rich buying em out = fair game

plus why bother buying keys to unlock tokens if the tokens usually sell in g e for a few mill when released

obviously walks were rare to start with because they took a fair bit of hassle to unlock

leave token forms to merchers and let unlockers unlock in a less manipulated way
and btw you can tell how manip they were by the dramatic fall they did from panic sellers

Once they are in the oddment store no one will care about them since everyone will have them. :) I mean look at partyhats in osrs
I need my blue charms back.

So if jagex releases walks through the oddment store, they are unlikely to be in token form. Meaning walks in token form rise over time as they become consumed/destroyed and get merched, while players can unlock them through the oddments store so they can't complain sounds like a plan.

Regarding walk tokens: I might not sell what I have, but I'm not buying anything new unless it's at firesale prices. A token returning, even if just as an oddment unlock, is not bullish. I'm amazed assassin isn't in the ge right now, though clearly some have been sold for max cash.

Where is Tuffty? Is he still watching over us?

If nothing else, I do appreciate how pleasant the forums are because of all the volunteers working in the background. I can't imagine rs without a forums. Yuck discord.

Tokens won't rise over time if they're in oddment store. Ik there are some people that for whatever reason are hoarding them up cause they are 'cheap'.

A lot of people playing with fire tbh. I don't think i will give anymore thought to them till after the update. So gl to the people buying them up

Thats exactly how i feel about it.

also someone on sof/th was talking about that the prices of the normal tokens will scale to the amount of oddments. so keep that in your mind because if a walk would be only 10k oddments its different than when its 150k ofcourse.
trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.
