As my original thread got locked without any current chance to submit forum moderation review I am creating a new one. (Interesting business approach that paying customers cannot address complaints)

Thread "Effects of Overregulation" has not been intended as a rant.

From my perspective, recurring re-releasing of certain items (=item discussion), such as tokens, with prices, that are reachable for common middle class, makes it seem that Jagex is trying to scatter wealth of investors / hoarders specialized in such items. While, in my opinion, this strategy seems successful against middle class, I think it is just accelerating the process of the top richest players gaining larger "part of the cake" (from economical perspective) and the middle class is fading out. Do you see it equally?

Please, feel free to discuss the topic here and disregard the initial comment.

Looking forward to any reactions.

As long as inflation exists the wealth gap will always favour the top 1%. Even in osrs with no discontinued items wealth gap is pretty significant with some players with 100b+ and average wealth around 250-300m. I need my blue charms back.

Don't make it too complicated, it's very simple if jagex sees they can make money (players buying keys) by rereleasing an item/token it will be done. They don't care about the wealth gap etc i mean it's a game lol. Some players will give you 100s of reasons why their item won't be rereleased lmao.

This thread makes better sence now.

Also you can report the other if you wish to the Review thread. Seeing as you made a new thread with more understandable content I don't think you need report it. This 1 is much better.

The items you are discussing is a hot topic. Remember Jagex never said items would not be re-released over and over again. If they did then you could be sold in the Discontinued items sectioin as they would be a Rare item. Seeing as none have been declared rare they are sold in Misc section.

As for putting more tokens or items back in game could be a good thing or could be a bad thing. Good means anyone who missed them first time around can now try and get them again for free or for a little cost.

I missed them last time round and no way would I pay billions for tokens no way at all. So for me I see it as a good thing and if I wanted too I could use 35,000 oddments or Bonds to get more keys to try my luck. ;)

I feel a little sorry for the people who were holding onto tokens in the hopes of cashing in big time. Only a little sorry though because we all knew someday tokens would be back and they are. So todays price is not a much as it was last week or the week before. Infact trading for way less today. ;)

I like it. I think it's good on Jagex to make a standpoint on tokens and send a message to people who wanna hoard these items in hopes of them reaching a certain price, that it's risky business. Now I'm sure zombie walks are gonna go up in price again after this, but say one person held 100 of them, I'm sure that person doesn't wanna hold 100 anymore and probably much less than that so the market will be more spread out and I like that.
Unlike Tuffty I don't feel sorry for merchers who lost out on this, that's the risk/reward you're going in to when merching. I do feel sorry for the Timmies that have had long lost offers in GE at max cash stack and probably never read the news that they were being re-released or just inactive, that have now bought tokens at over 1000% of their current value.

It's gonna be interesting to see what they are doing for christmas with so many christmas tokens and some that are pretty valuable. I have a lot of jumpers so I'm hoping for no re-release but I'm kind of expecting it at this point.

They need to just release them then make it very clear in X amount of months they will be available on Oddments store or something similar. That way there's a short-term incentive for those who want to try and be the 'early-birds' but no real logic in hoarding.

your opening post is still as messy as your other thread post was.

i'll respond to how you made this thread based off of the recent th promo.

Jagex's Probable stance of the recent events would be
1. (as tuffty said) They're giving another chance to the people who actually want to get the item and consume it to be able to get the item.
2. They're targeting the market manipulation that's going on, and showing that they're not going to just sit around and watch it happen and do nothing about it (this was hinted out months ago in one of the q&a streams when the whole twitch chat was spamming about manipulation)
Don't trust any pc's listed, any advice or talks between posts on ID forums anymore , the Manips are let loose, especially the main one with 15+ accounts posting acting as different people.. do your own research

Could they not have released it temporary through the oddments store? it would have given players another chance and targeted manipulation at the same time,

Only thing I see here is massive demand from player base and jagex finding a way to make money off it. it was not solely to target manipulation which happens in the rare market also.

What I noticed is since zombie walk was rereleased merchers/people who don't own certain items are randomly asking for rereleases like partyhats/hween masks/black santa/seasons items and other expensive cosmetics out of spite because the item they owned either got rereleased or they just hate someone who owns a certain cosmetic. We are going to have a target war with rereleases for the next few years and majority of the community supports a partyhat rerelease. I need my blue charms back.
