The group of certain players trade rares among themselves and pretend to be a market. That's the biggest part of it. Then, as a secondary reason, FOMO buyers just add fuel to the situation.

But stay calm, market has always been going by the rule "Easy come - easy go". Corrections happen. Market is too complex system to stay in people's hands for a longer term. They can, however, intensify short-term moves, for example by the means as I mentioned above.
Everything, ranging from sub-atomic particles to galaxy clusters, has its dynamics predefined. And then there are people claiming that systems like economy, society or other human sub-systems are in our hands.

The market has always been the bold vs the weak lol, the bold players with balls of steel will always profit from the weak who panic sell and the market is and always be filled with more panic sellers than bold steel balled guys who will always sit above most.

If you aint walking around with multiple phat sets by now ur not playing rs right. Keep ur green only upgade ur rares never sell for items or cash.

Other than ug if you want to sell trade for lots of lower rares as investments.

Phats for masks/santas
masks/santas for edibles

Stay away from new rares like BSH and GPHs unless you cant afford a old school rare.

So the secret to playing RS is now " get rich, own rares" or fuck off.

That explains exactly how this game has turned into a business venture rather that a game..
