To be honest, I doubt it was a mistake and I doubt it will be the last time Jagex does this to try to sell more keys and remove gp from the game. It's certainly a new low, as well as a reminder of what lengths they could go in the future to remove gp from the game, especially as they shift their priorities from keeping the current player base happy to trying to open up as much of the game and market to the new incoming players. no gp got removed from this promo only bonds gp stays in the game and money spend went to people who sold bonds. if not even more gold came into the game ive seen multiple posts people getting like 4 x 200m even 10 x 200m

Yes, you are right. The gp has simply shifted around. Regardless, I still stand by my new distrust of Jagex as this was more akin to a scam than a promo. I will certainly use this as a learning opportunity, if there is anything to really learn from this. Fortunately, I only lost 850 mil from this... a drop in the bucket for me, but I can only imagine for others who have invested much more than I have.

So did you win any 2x purple 200ms? lol Gp for sure left the game. Thats the point of buying bonds with gp and then having a ton of events that consume alot of bonds. Think about it. I doubt enough 200ms where won to replace how much was spent getting 10 purples.

You're buying bonds off other people so the only gp that's leaving the game is conversion costs.

I have a feeling jagex has their own bonds in the ge.

So only players buying bonds with irl cash are controlling the price? hard to believe that. But i guess it could be.
