Can't be too results oriented. While I definitely agree that 800m during the early days of the promo was high, like Dunderys said this huge drop is pretty much unprecedented. Given the old method of obtaining them there's no way they would ever end up at the price they're at now, merchers would create huge demand for an item that rare.

If they didn't change the rarity then they wouldn't have been 50m. They would have been the rarest th item ..10 purples lmao to get one item.

Someone at jagex planned this. No way can they be this stupid to release a promo with a super rare item then after ppl spend a shit ton in bonds etc to get said item they make it not rare to not fk with thier idea of what the economy should look like. How long have they been doing this they making rookie mistakes then are like oops. But who cares they got gold out of the economy from the super rich and cash in their bank from bonds .

And hell no I didnt invest in this item . Just annoying how jagex is doing things these days.

Agreed, I've seen other games recently also pull the "we didn't know this would end so badly" card for things that were blatant disasters from the start. Problem is when this excuse is used you question whether whoever is supposed to be testing these things is qualified whatsoever

The RuneScape market wizard never lies You never lie? Really? I remember a month ago you said cottontail would go to 16m and santa paws would go to 20m within a month. Neither has happened. 1.5 months ago you said easter egg pet would go to like 1.5b within a month. Hasn’t happened. A few months ago when assassin walk was still 1.2b you said plague walk would go to 1.5b and assassin walk to max. Only one of those happened. Making 20 predictions and only focusing on the 5 that actually turned out to be right doesn’t make you a prediction wizard.

To be honest, I doubt it was a mistake and I doubt it will be the last time Jagex does this to try to sell more keys and remove gp from the game. It's certainly a new low, as well as a reminder of what lengths they could go in the future to remove gp from the game, especially as they shift their priorities from keeping the current player base happy to trying to open up as much of the game and market to the new incoming players. Hopefully I am wrong but only time will tell.
