You do realize that the term "discontinued rare" came long after Jagex themselves realized it, when it was already too late to stop something, after they "drop away" several years of "fun items" that were worth only a few gp, but left them tradable?

What happened after that, and how those worthless things

turned into "end game goals" and how they are treated now, is another topic.

Because that's exactly what my insight was about. if it helps you better understand what I wrote about.

so your more focused on the past and everything what was will never be again, well getting sentimental is understandable since the items have been around really long, but i cant find the connection to jagex removing the max cash limit besides the items being over max cash "treated as cash holders" right now. i think discussing what let the price change overtime to be in their position they are right now in is really important for future content.

p.s the correction was about the playerbase creating the term discontinued rare. maybe the playerbase started it, i wasnt there at the time. but jagex decided to accept this term and include it in such way making it a more formal term for such items. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Also, you're here talking about how Jagex should re-release discontinued items even tho you know most of us worked hard for them...

Of course it's going to upset players when you want Jagex to just take away their achievements and something they have been working hard for, and you know that.

It looks to me like you're just very spiteful and jealous. If you spent many hours into something and then Jagex suddenly started giving it for free, wouldn't you be upset too? Of course you would lol it's just basic common sense

my fight to re-release old holiday items has nothing to do with untradeable rares. if i'm ever talking about re-releasing anything it's untradeable rewards. and yeah, i know the gp selling sites could get you banned. i'm not stupid. what i was stating was that these sites are still up and running and aren't just selling gp to players but also rares like phats and holly wreaths. as for upsetting me? no, i don't care. it's a game. get over yourself. i own a christmas scythe which is worth over 2b right now and honestly i would not care if they re-released it because i'm not a greedy jackass. it's called spreading the love. if i could, i'd make sure everyone could get their hands on items like these. it's disgusting how people in this game act because of some pixelated items.

Now we have it figured out, since my original post a few pages back was a rejoinder to Atlantis opinion.

so first of all they should increase death costs to remove as much gpf rom the game as possible

second yea add 1% tax, fine, maybe even up to 5% for some items

third wtf is adding more coins gon do? bruh just create a completely different currency ffs

also why not destroy items with the ge taxes. so cone item is paid out like one in every 100 items will be destroyed from ge and this is what those taxes shall do/ ofc dont destroy any rares, etc just armor weapons and ofc add more item sinks

oh as for rares being tradable person to person? yea taxes should apply too. they should instantly remove gp. if you try to bypass it you shall be banned. avoiding taxes shall be a bannable offense

we need more item sinks! oh and stop giving out high alchable drops and stop giving out coins. continue adding more and more items sinks so that low lvl, mid lvl, and high lvl bossing is profitable

sometimes we just gotta think about what would nasser el sonbaty do? and what he would most likely do is eat couple cheesecakes and then do cardio for 3 hours a day before mr olympia and get 1st place
