I love how their version of "adaptation" is a textbook snakeoil merchant tactic of gaslighting people.
Their whole premise for why these tokens are inherently valuable now is that people would not bother to buy them for oddments because it's too much effort, or that there would still be an artificial demand for these tokens merely because of the fact that they are a tradeable version of a MTX item that now anyone and their dog can buy on oddments store.
I think most of these arguments are being formulated in that one scam FC that will suffer the most from this change, and I would call these attempts to speculate market on a price check thread pathetic but then again, I don't think anyone buys into their arguments anymore.

Hah, it's fine. Jagex gives me final reason not to log in ever. Look at my acc, was built around old wild. They killed that, now they are limiting merching. Everything is turning into fake. Its beginning of new era. Now walks, soon every god damn token.

Well none of the tokens were ever confirmed as discontinued so if that's your basis for quitting merching then it was never for you in the first place
Truth is the community thinks merchers are a terrorist group that sells children for money.
They don't want the rerelease because they like the unlock.
As long as Jagex does not reintroduce the walks in token form, which they won't, I'm not too concerned. I personally think that merchers will use this opportunity to adapt their investment strategies and redefine the token market as, more likely than not, rare tokens continue to become more and more rare just like any other discontinued items from the edibles category i.e. accidental consumption, destruction, accounts with the tokens either getting locked or players retiring. Overall, this rare token dump is actually a great opportunity for those looking to get into the long-term merching game, especially those coming back into the game.
**.
Doesn't matter, there will be no demand and no one will pay 500m+ for a token they can unlock cheaper with oddments. What we will see is a huge crash, as usual. You're a fool if you're holding into those tokens, and that is the truth
An inspiration to many, with a heart of gold. Be kind today, tomorrow and everyday!

Tbf did they confirm which walks there are rereleasing or just walks in general
Walks yes, but also oddment store rework, which I am assuming would include the hoarded/manipped tokens, as well as other ones, which may already be worthless.
This has been long overdue.

For sure you are right, but as long as someone starts to enjoy of something, gets smashed. And yes they did not confirm that, but also holding that stuff so long back isn't right either. But hey, if they see that as correct path, its fine with me. But i really can't see the point of that.

The point was they put a lot of dev time and effort into making walks and the majority of the community doesn't get to use them. This is a more than reasonable outcome for the walks
