Ok thanks! And is it confirmed in writings by a j-mod that it wil never be re-released? Did Jagex send out a signed, legal document to the players that makes it 100% legit and it is contractually watertight that it is never gonna be re-released again? No.

You personally think this is intentional? you think they are bringing it back?? Knowing Jagex with how they treat other Holiday/seasonal events yes i think they will at some point. only reason these items really are going up is due to ACTUAL rares being unreachable for common people now. having a ''item'' to grow in value. is a good idea. but if you already are flipping and not staking. you should know its better to invest your money into daily/weekly flips/merch. a single items isnt gonna give you more than 200% profit. realistically. but those money put into flips/merchs. is gonna give you a much better ROI(return on investment) Meow, Meoow miv moaw. **hhhh SHHHG MOAW MIIIIVVVVVVVV! =^.^=

Oké, so you're saying they are gonna re-release the scythe at some point. what year will jagex do this according to you? I'm done merchanting for a while, and distributed all my wealth into discontinued items. Please stop sending me for token sales and let me enjoy the game for a bit :-)

Let me put it this way. just like rubber tuckey ALSO released with Holly and Xmas Scythe. they got rereleased. Buddy pet? guess what also released. Jagex nor any employee have never stated any of those items to never be released again. and a ''probably not'' its a statement. that just confirming that it can happen and probably will due to how other holiday items gets rereleased.

people saying they are discountioned are usally just either sheep that hold 1-3 of the items. or pump n dump merchers with 10-100 of the items. misinformation is huge regarding these items post 2010. Meow, Meoow miv moaw. **hhhh SHHHG MOAW MIIIIVVVVVVVV! =^.^=

XD don't think anyone would waste their time and money getting a job in jagex just to know if something is gonna be confirmed to be discontinued. and to answer your question above. no one will ever know ehn an item is rereleased. it just happens. time and time again. it all about time. It appears that the original rs forum thread may have already been removed by Jagex, but here is one of the old top reddit posts that had screenshots on Mod Krista’s statements regarding new Christmas “rares.” You can interpret this however you’d like, but here’s my personal interpretation of her statements:

Mod Krista states:

“We discussed as a team what was appropriate to bring back and what wasn’t. For example we’re not bringing the holly wreath back.”
(My personal interpretation of this was that the team voted and made a final decision to not bring holly wreaths back)

“I can’t promise that we will or won’t bring anything back in the future - I don’t have that much power and I don’t know who will be making those decisions next year.”
(This is the typical cover your own self response by not making any guarantees because the reality is that company management always changes over time especially if they ever intend to resell the company to new owners)

“However, we would have discussions again as to what we should release, and I imagine the same results would happen next time as this time.”
(This is her reassuring moment that as long as management stays the same, the same results will likely happen again and it did, rubber turkeys were re-released yet again and more than once with these Christmas event crackers)

I believe Black Santas, Holly Wreaths, and Christmas Scythes are discontinued. You can interpret her statements however you want. These are just my personal interpretations.

Rereleases are based on how much money they make and they confirmed in a twitch stream cosmetics dont make them much money. In order for a cosmetic or token to make them money they need to make them rare so ppl spend bonds with real $$ to buy that item.

so no they aren't 100% discontinued as goes for any item in the game. i would say even for the original holiday items also but with the past of how bank bidders was a possible update that never made it into the game you see that's even a possibility.

-Yup there is never a 100% guarantee because it ultimately comes down to what the owners believe would make the most money for them. In my opinion, the easiest route would be to add new rares rather than re-releasing old rares in order to avoid upsetting the whole current rares market community.
