Since 24h I'm buying bonds time to time 18,0 - 18,2 M and never had any instabuy ...

Even if it was that case: This would assume that you get frequently get instabuys now. But I'm pretty sure there have been like 50 NIB inbetween or more.

Last updates for me = Could not buy any at 18 M and bought maybe 5x at 18,1 - 18,2

That's just my current strategy: I instabuy my bonds when some whale drops ~50 bonds. I have a few bonds at test prices in the ge. When my ge starts updating like crazy, that's when I throw in some more offers that instabuy at the lowest price. It has indeed only happened 2 or 3 times yesterday, with a while inbetween.

This nights update: I bought some bonds at 18,016M but those at 18M didn't buy.

In other news: last GE update was ~8 hours ago and this morning there was somehow a new update already with prices going up. Wut? Someone bulk-bought, I assume? This somehow happens pretty often on mondays.

Or they simply rise again ... ?

They dropped hard for 3 days and there is no reason why they should drop even further.

"That's just my current strategy" - Ok this is your current G.E strategy, but what I mentioned seems like your forum strategy:

You said you want them to drop to like 17,5m.

And then when you buy like 100 bonds and all NIB at 18,1 and then instabuy a Bond at 18,0 and just report THIS price all the time, this seems strange to me.

It is not real manipulation, but only reporting an instabuy when at least I would assume that this just was a hyper lucky snipe, this is still at least a wrong depiction of reality.

You said you instabought 3 bonds at ~ 18,1m and this were your only price updates. That would make everyone who is absent believe they are crashing like crazy.

I bought like 50 or more bonds ~ 18,1 - 18,3m and NO bonds came instant. I even think this instabuy is strange as I had buy offers for at least 18M+10K in for days and I only bought ~ 5 at that price and not instant, but I can't surely quote on that.

So it sounds like selectively price reporting, which should not be forbidden, but that will give a distorted view on the price, which would agree with your stated intend to see bonds falling even more ... :@

Prices:

NIB 18,7 + 18,3

Sold 20,65 + 20,7 + 20,75 + 20,9 (from first to last)

Just a curious statement about the update times of the GE. They always go up during the week and down in the weekends. But there sometimes is a 40 hour gap between price updates and an 8 hour gap between other updates.

I could have written: instabought 18.2M after waiting for a while. True. My bad. Will do so next time.

Bonds were crashing this weekend, so fast GE couldn't keep up. When there is a what you call snipe opportunity is when I get new price info. If I don't buy, I have no info to update. After the influx of 50-100 bonds, all GE offers are fulfilled down to a certain price. When I post: instabought 18.2M that is for others an opportunity to buy slightly above that and they will be the highest bidder. That is why I post that info. Usually, I get no new buys after I post on the forums. I've been considering not to.

Also, crashing prices mean nobody buys bonds for money for a while and the crash will revert. I'd rather keep buying them up at snipes while nobody is aware of how cheap they really are than have to wait out this rise that is coming for the next week until buyer confidence is back up next weekend.

I've always been honest about wanting prices to go down. Don't cry wolf when I say I eat sheep. People should be clever enough to read and think for themselves. I don't flip bonds though, so you might have more of a stake in this. When I run out of GP, I will be gone from this thread and set for some years, not having to worry about increasing bond prices. Low bond prices are a sign of a healthy game. I've seen other MMO's be "ruined" for F2P due to constant inflation of the buyable currency. I wouldn't like RS to go down such a path, but that is a topic for another thread.

Man, I always write too much. I just hopes this interests somebody, lol. :-P

EDIT: Bought NOTHING at 18.2M.
EDIT: I stand corrected, seconds later I bought a bond at 18,201,000 after waiting all morning.
