A very well trusted dude and familiar to the R Quark.
Chisp was so funny with his 1b disk on forums and readinggeak used to make those threads to hype fish mask and disks.
If I can remember, you guys had trouble with that dude called Mist Rising who was the FMod.
Shuttleduck was also a great friend of mine, but I don’t remember him being a mercher, but more like a guy interested in learning the rarity of these discontinued items.
Other guys that I remember where
- Charm Quark
- Theos
- H Rassy
- I Harv I
- 2lum -> Used to merch in there during trade restrictions
Charm was such a nice guy and he was working hard getting his first rare
Scourse another guy who was Charm Quark so called bf… JK,he was also those guys back in Charm Quark cc before going into R Quark.
These RSN names are legendary merchers who made gp under harsh conditions during trade restrictions and beginning of free trade.

I hope that this is not the imposter Scope I who used to join R Quark and provide fake prices
I remember everyone making a big deal of it to find out that it wasn’t the real Scope I.
People had difficulty distinguishing I from l ingame.
Anyways, great to hear from you guys above. You were the reason why I joined your price checking cc those days. It was fun, but RS is never the same because of inflation and EoC.
Good memories and will be for decades to come.
Peace
PS. Readinggeak did you get cleaned by Fishy dicing/flower cc or Win All day?

Also does anyone know if nukeW0lf plays if I am not mistaken with his RSN. He was also a general like me during R Quark, but I really hated him for being involved in every single fight and kicking out people lol. I am sure readinggeak used to be kicked out from this guy a lot.

Of course, we can’t forget Trip10.
Thanks. Even Lyra forgot me! But yea I was just a lister, terrible merchant. I was good at trading market panics, about it.
Theos, Gold Duckii, Shuttleduck, and Weakpig were all who remembered me.
Bitter Orc is the big merchant now. If you need price info, just pm him. He's pretty honest. Weak is solid too, but Weak doesn't like to reveal prices, haha. People trade on discord now. I'm not on discord.
I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity.

Part of my curiosity is based in wondering how easy/hard it would be to make 100b+. I also am curious if there are still old players around, people who maybe have held a collection of rares long term.
Top bosses make 100m+/hr gl
You'll get it when you deserve it.
I love it! So most people still are around, even if just lurking the forums
. Hope you doing well!
Yes, Chisp was the disk guy! Can't believe I spaced on his name.
100% remember Trip, and of course Nuke W0lf. He was the one usually kicking me way back in the day lol.
Shuttleduck did a little merching/flipping I think, but yeah he was also very involved in understanding probability, both with rarity of rares (he did that cracker popping experiment on the beta game) and with flower colors for gambling.
I got up to 12-13b staking (borrowed a friend's max account and made like 3b in 1-2 days), but then lost that 3b back. And then ended up with a lot of junk merches (fish masks, a shit ton of sleeping hats, some other junk I forget) and was frustrated. Plus rares had risen in price so my effective purchasing power was even lower. So I rage gambled, did some 50/50 flower poker with this guy 2ve (a gen in Fishy fc I think) and I did an all in 6.5b gamble and won, but he logged. Stupidly didn't record it. To be fair, a lot of that "6.5b" was junk items, so wouldn't of been that fair for him to pay out a full 13. But also not fair to log lol.
Anyways OSRS was released literally the next month, so that was a decent distraction.
RS2 had a weird end to it in my mind, between the prevalence of games of chance, EoC, and rares rising astronomically.
It's honestly crazy to me seeing prices nowadays. I remember buying my first santa at like 13m. First purple phat at like 1b. I remember when phats were on that long downturn purps even fell below 700m briefly. At that point I had a bunch of reds for a little under 900, some yellows for a little under 800.
Scope helped me make a lot of money by recommending me to invest in nature runes for the bot nuke.
I was always in awe at Harv for how much he made street flipping.
I'm pretty sure I have like 250-300 days on Readinggeak, and my stats are shit lol. Spent sooo much time just bank standing and chatting in fc.

Scope and Charm do you still play, or just read forums every once in a while?
I wonder how the people who still play feel about the game's evolution. It looks super different from 10 years ago, but I wonder if you played the whole time the changes felt more gradual and less noticeable. Do people still enjoy the game for the same reasons they did 10 years ago?
Your name is definitely a throwback, welcome back Readinggeak.
I'd say there's a combination of old wealth, and new wealth. A lot of older merchants aren't nearly as wealthy as they were 5-10 years ago, and there's new mechants and PVMers who have amassed a large amount of wealth. I think that a lot of players have also made partyhats an end game goal. We've seen partyhat prices surge, 3-4x in the past 2 years.
