Using a 90% cheaper car, based on color, is not a great example because a car is not more valuable based on color but on rarity. A better example is to use cards as an example. You can get two cards that look the same but have subtle differences and one card is worth many times more because of rarity. Sure that holographic Charizard card might look cool in a collection but it's not rare and people who see a 1st edition Charizard card or a Shadowless Charizard are going to be impressed and the owner of the cards are going to feel the significance.
