Price manipulation (meaning altering prices based on fabrications) cannot be "fixed" by Jagex, however,
forum moderators should be allowed to hide posts that are BLATANT manipulation attempts
, but forum mods should be allowed to give temp and perm forum bans for accounts who are blatantly faking trades. Also
remove the naming and shaming rule for the price checking section
, or at least make an exception to the rule that people can call out people who are blatantly trying to manipulate prices.
Blatant manipulation should include:
-Those who purposely repeatedly post ranges that are completely inaccurate (leeway should be given when there's a lack of reports or massive increases/decreases in prices)
-Throwaway accounts selling to throwaway accounts at suspicious prices
-People who report trades to players, who then get called out by that person
-People who recycle old trades/Photoshop trades
-People who sell/buy things off accounts that do not exist (if there's at least a picture, then maybe we can say there was a double name change)
The only manipulation that Jagex needs to allow the community to mitigate is that of fake trades which fuel the fire during rises and crashes.
I'm all for rises and crashes based on demand but they don't need to be amplified by people trying to increase (or decrease) or sustain the price of their crashing item.

the credit card companys have no problems so jagex has no problems. They probably make a decent amount on the duel arena.
Maybe you dont know this but it was the credit card companys who forced jagex to do the balanced trade update at the time.
Kids used their parents credit cards and people where also stealing credit card information (probably also with rwit sites) and they used these to purchase and runescape gold.
This led to so many requests for refunds and rewinding transactions that the credit card companys did threathen jagex to not serve them anymore if they didnt do anything about it,hence the balanced trade update.
The duel arena was a huge driving factor, it became a means to gamble with real money.

Wasn't really active around then, but yeah that's kind of outside of the scope of the game Rassy.

I personally do not think addition in quantity of a static value spirit shard will do anything to curb inflation. No way will I lose investment by burying gold in the ground.

It's about making it easier to store gp and to high value items, by this there's the potential to curb inflation because people may be more willing to sell.

That's up to everyone if they want to bank on inflation of rares. What does one do when their rares become inflated?
1) Either keep them
2) Sell them (or some)
People keep rares for different reasons and some would rather not have them.

Unsure why Bank Bidders didn't pass the 1st time around. My only thought is that Jagex is behind all the scamming and lurers. They obviously want there to be less phats in the game so prices go up and players buy bonds to pay for the phat.
There has been lots of talk on dupe in-game which Jagex denies somewhat. They 1st downplay it , and then they deny it all together. The continued lies by Jagex as a company is more of an issue than phats rising, but both are negative attributes to the game.
75% of current phat owners have probably lured another player to obtain it.
I would support the increase of shard suppliers in game and their current stock of shards.
Best wishes to all.
Jagex declared WAR on April 2nd, 2012 by implementing MTX.
