Just wondering - when selling a phat do you guys prefer shards? Or a pile of lower rares?

Saving up for one, and currently stocking up on lower rares as currency for the trade. But would be nice to know if there's any point to it, or if cash/shards are king? My logic is that with shards you would anyways be getting close to max amount you could carry/bank from this trade alone, could be problematic.

I know it's individual, but if I could get YOUR thoughts on the matter it would be greatly appreciated.
