Should all discontinued items have the ability to consume them via right click into oddments, runecoins or treasure hunter keys? I think a blue phat could be worth 1m oddments or 25k runecoins or 10k th keys. This could give discontinued items an actual use instead of being only cosmetic. As to the question of jagex losing profit, well how many keys and bonds did these players who own discontinued items bought before this ability was added? The loss wouldn't be that bad.

What do you guys think? This isn't a suggestion, only a question.

I think the original rares became a situation that no one had planned for or expected.
I also think they should be left alone, any further faffing will have the potential to exasperate the problem. Check out Thieves guild layout redesign. Happy ‘scaping

Whats wrong with things being only cosmetic?

I mean thats the whole point in overrides yet ppl seem to be ok with them, so why cant DRs be the same?

If you high alch a partyhat you get 1gp, so why should they be worth a lot of oddments or runecoins? Their inherent value is non-existent because they were made as a fun item.

I'll have to disagree with this one. I never owned a phat but for how rare they are let's just keep them as cosmetics.

i dont think there is any debate. the whole idea makes no logical sense

1. why just why?
2. converting to oddments?? what makes you think any item has any value in oddments? how did you determine this?
3. oddments have been nerfed already due to what they are, you now want people who are rich enough to have them to be able to obtain them even easier than before?
