It's at like 600m atm, still really really cheap compared to what it will be in a few months

Once the GE supply goes dry, that's when we will see some crazy numbers, and possible a lot of panic buys

The supply is still very active, but what will happen once most of these casual players go back into inactivity?

That's my opinion so far :)

I still hope to buy them at 100. Seem to be incredibly popular but high supply. Maybe 102… I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

The only demand is from merchants (which is still legit demand). Every player who wanted a golden partyhat could have gotten one , or ten. Green santa has real demand because not every player could get one.

I dont know,i do hope it goes up lots but i have my doubts. Seeing it at 600 now is already a big surprise to me. Everyone sits on their stacks i guess and as long as it goes up there is no reason to sell. There is a lot of hype around this item and trading seems very active. Kinda reminds about how active santa,s used to be traded ages ago.

Maybe its a better item then i thought it would be,if you have a few billion spare you can quickly buy a few and if you need a few billion for some gear you can also sell very quickly again. This is kinda handy for people who dont want to invest to much and who also dont want to spend ages to try buy or sell a rare at a decent price. The liquidity seems very high for now.

Still i think it should drop lol , but i am slowly accepting that maybe i am wrong with that.

Yo Blue is the guy who said we have an inferior hat... that we are peasants lol. I would not necessarily listen to him for anything really haha. Glad some of you took screenshots to expose him for what he really is.

This isn't really true per se. Most people could do a lot more with 4-600m than they could do with a golden partyhat. Obviously it has sentimental value and you should theoretically never really sell your one and only, but plenty of people of course have sold their only gph because they needed the money. The more it rises, the more people are going to sell their hard earned one and only partyhat and eventually they will be priced out of ever owning one again.

The thing people don't understand about this item is that supply and demand have almost no impact on its value because it is not a commodity, it's a currency. The demand for the item is literally infinite and the supply, no matter how much, is finite. So its value is directly dictated not by demand relative to commodities (like weapons, armor, food, etc) but by the amount of gold that exists in the game.

It doesn't matter how long it's been discontinued or how exclusive it is or how much of a chance people had to own one. That's like saying there's no demand for gold because everyone can earn one gold piece if they want to. It's a currency, and one that's immune to inflation, so people naturally aspire to own as many of it as they possibly can.

As soon as the event ends (which it does in 2 days) this item's value is going to rise very fast and is never falling again, besides the occasional, but temporary, troughs and peaks based on hype trends.

The only reason its value has been kept lower thusfar is because there has been a steady increase in the supply as people farmed them, as well as investors waiting for the lowest price to snatch them up. Once the supply stops increasing, (2 days,) then the price is going to rapidly correct toward the true value.

Just got mine from the even and it looks so neat!

A bit late to the party, but I am glad I could finally fetch a partyhat for myself after 10 years of playing.
