tbh i think rares will always have special meaning.

TH items are going up mostly because ppl spend their gp on it i think. so when ppl dont want to spend money on it anymore then they swap back to rares.

phat prices can only hold their price aslong as players pay that price for it. so it entirely depends on the price players want to pay for a phat. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Theory: "Runecoin" means "gp" in Cgrant05's language. This is a post against inflation. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

Tokens can be a sort of replacement. I guess fish masks, seasons items, Christmas Tree hats, Masks, etc. are also "rares" and less likely to be released again than tokens. I calculated and it's approx $58 million USD

4000 runecoins bought 530,000 times worth $110 USD ea = $58M

I imagine Jagex would be quite pleased with this experiment from a curious billionaire
