Ther s no requirement to purchase anything at all to get it. In fact I feel like the people buying all these keys are the ones that are not getting it. It's the people that are just a skilling and getting only a few presents that are getting lucky. You probably have around 30k people getting 2 presents per hour at least. So out of 60k presents in an hour it will be lucky if anyone even gets one. So some guy that decides to spend 10bil on keys to get 600 presents really has any chance? That's just stupid if you ask me. If you are gonna be a lucky one and get it so be it. It was not meant for everyone to have.
Seems reasonable though i would guess more like 10k people getting 2 presents/hour on average.
20k presents/hour. 1/1000? for a gold present=20 gold presents/hour. 1/2 for getting the GSH=10 GSH/hour. Something like this maybe. No clue if accurate but i think its in this region maybe a bit more.
Odds for paper from keys would be similar, but probably dwarfed by the amount of paper coming from skilling. People who dont buy keys get less then 1 present a day.

I mean it has zero stats and its not discontinued so like what's the point of it.
You literally have a blue phat on you in your picture and you wanna talk negative. From the release you have had nothing good to say about green Santa. Someone sounds salty they haven't gotten one. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean others don't. I for one love the look of it and alot of people do as well, even if it isn't "discontinued".
Yup 100% right! I am soooo salty when I see someone wearing a green Santa hat because ill never be able to afford one of those prestigious hats
Yup, that is true, we see very year, it will keep decreasing and decreasing, while original discontinued items will keep increasing and increasing
2nd age isn't discontinued, and has certainly risen over time (I believe several pieces are max+). Apples to oranges, I know...but I think there are multiple examples out there of items which aren't discontinued which have went up. The iconic nature of the Santa hat on Runescape will very well leave these desirable. Now, I know 2nd age is a super scarce item that has been hoarded by merchants. The same can, and will happen to GSH if the change in paper rates and the influx in game is minimal. This is still speaking about the short-term (3-6 months, in my opinion).
I still think that limited release items such as this GSH can do pretty well in the short-term (and maybe long-term depending on inflation and frequency of rereleases). It isn't my top investment pick. Let's see how the change in paper rates on the 25th affects the prices. With golden presents at their current rarity, there will need to be a huge buff to significantly influence the prices of GSH. In my opinion, GSH may already be pricing that in.
Yeah I think people are getting too focused on the lack of discontinuation, it's still a santa that by all accounts is very hard to get from wrappers. An item doesn't have to be fixed supply to go up in price a lot, demand just has to out-strip supply and if these santas are a

my issue with gsh isnt that its not discontinued, its that tgere is a history of changing drop chances upon rereleasing items. if suddenly an item goes from a 1/100k chance to 1/10k that impacts price alot more. if the rerelease was to be atlesst to be garanteed same rarity then i might consider buying in
100kppl online at any given time its like 100k presents an hour and thatswithout buying keys doing dailys for keys etc
thats 2.4mill presents a day
Thats all players including osrs, you have to subtract the number of players from osrs website from that number. Usually its 30k RS3 players on at a time

when will this event end for Christmas paper and a chance to get the green santa hat
?
Most likely January 2nd they will remove ability to get papers, you will have 1 week to exchange your gained papers after this.
