Yea.. super bummed about this. At least I got some experience out of it.

You get 40 wrapping paper per key. You get 40 wrapping paper every 5 minutes from skilling. Wrapping paper is easy to come by, no need to rush keys for it. If you think the item will continue to go up in price then chill, there's no need to acquire one so fast through paid keys. Save your money and/or buy a few near the end of the event when we have more information. For all we know the Christmas quest reward might give you increased odds on loot from the presents. And if you're going to spend 1500 keys trying to get one, that works out around 4b, so why not just sell the bonds and purchase one for 3b. Just my 2 cents. Bob says:

Now that Jagex is open about the odds of all promotions,should the odds to get gold and purple presents not be made public either? Its kinda surprising that there is secrecy about these odds while they have opened up everything else.

Or would it be varying odds,depending on how many of those presents have been given out thus far.

1 purple present from 200 papers which got me the pudding hat,i am already satisfied with this event. Now i am thinking about doing some random skilling if its indeed 40 paper every 5 minutes though it would be nice to know the odds to get purple and gold presents.

it's 15-20 wrapper every 3 minutes of skilling

I got my Gold present after burning through about 6k papers. Got a GSH in it. It is not for sale.

I have farmed over 70k paper since and gotten 0 Gold presents and about 25 purples. Nothing but tokens. Good luck to you all. it is rare indeed.
